Shower Posture
How funny, most stand straightest when naked.
When it’s cold, we bundle up. That’d be the perfect time to stand straight, protected by the bulk of clothing, unexposed to either the elements or appraisal. But when it’s cold, good posture becomes uncomfortable; we huddle around what warmth we’ve collected.
When it’s warm, standing straight need not yield a draft, that gust of biting air. But that heat calls for less clothing and in a way, less protection from the exposure of real or perceived imperfection, decolletage, what have you. So most curl into themselves, hiding their figures from the world.
Those who do not, seem to commence an act of defiance.
So while standing nude would normally encompass the most revealing of poses, most bear their most disciplined of postures in the shower–where it is neither cold nor public, yet the most unencumbered by prop or excuse for a shroud.
